When we opened our doors in Term 1, 2019, we began with 86 students, 16 Kindy learners, and a big dream: to create a unified, future-focused learning environment where students of all ages — from Kindy to TAFE — could learn, thrive, and belong. That dream is now a thriving reality. Today, Benne College is home to over 1,000 students, four sub-schools, a passionate team of educators, and a powerful culture of wellbeing and innovation.
Our college was born from the merging of two proud schools — Prime Creek Primary School and Prime Creek High School — and the strength of their legacy lives on in the relationships, spirit, and community you feel here every day.
We are proud to be a Kindy to TAFE (K–T) school — a rare and powerful model that allows us to support learners across their entire educational journey. Our four sub-schools — Little School (Kindy & Reception), Junior School (Years 1–4), Middle School (Years 5–8), and Senior School (Years 9–11 & TAFE) — work together to ensure smooth transitions, tailored learning, and consistent care at every stage.
Whether your child is taking their first steps into school life or preparing for the world beyond graduation, they will be supported by staff who know them, challenge them, and believe in their potential.
Our curriculum is both structured and flexible, grounded in the Australian Curriculum and enhanced by electives, project-based learning, and real-world skills. From literacy and STEM to Redstone and Brewing, our students engage in learning that is relevant, rigorous, and empowering.
We place high value on student agency, offering students increasing choice in what they learn, how they learn it, and where that learning can take them. With Study Lines, Free Choice learning, and access to VET and TAFE pathways, we prepare students to graduate not only with qualifications — but with direction, confidence, and a sense of purpose.
Our wellbeing program, THRIVE, runs from Kindy to TAFE and supports students in developing the emotional, social, and life skills they need to flourish. We believe that students learn best when they feel safe, included, and valued — and our culture reflects this at every level of the college.
We take time to celebrate together, to listen to student voices, and to guide young people as they discover who they are and where they’re going. From the K–T Carnival to the Year 11 Farewell, our events, traditions, and milestones bring the community together and remind us that learning is a shared journey.
At Benne College, our mission is clear:
To grow together — through connection, challenge, and care — and to shape tomorrow with the skills, confidence, and values our world needs.
I am proud to lead a school that genuinely lives its values and puts students at the centre of everything. Our staff are not only educators — they are mentors, role models, and guides. Our students are not only learners — they are leaders, thinkers, and change-makers. And our families are not only supporters — they are true partners in education.
Whether you are a new family considering enrolment, a current parent looking to get more involved, or a visitor curious about what makes our school unique — I warmly invite you to explore Benne College.
Come and see what’s possible when we grow together and shape tomorrow.
Warmest regards,
Ben
