Benne College offers high-quality boarding for students in R-T providing a nurturing and structured environment where young people can live, learn, and grow together.
Our boarding program is built on strong relationships, personalised care, and a sense of belonging. We support every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally — all while developing independence, resilience, and life skills.
Located on campus, our boarding facilities offer a modern, comfortable, and community-focused experience, led by caring staff who are passionate about student wellbeing and future success.
These are the eligibility requirement:
Living at least 5500 blocks from a school
Being on Years R-T
Years 6-T are given priority
We have a capacity of 66 students at the school, but we also have an independent living option. This option is where you and a group of other students (minimum Year Level being Year 7) live in an off-site house independently and have a carer come and check-in once a day. Students are required to do basic cleaning for the house e.g. dishes. changing bed sheets, doing washing etc, while the carer will do other maintenance while they attend school. This is an ideal option for Senior Secondary students who wish to have independence from their home.
If you live more then 5500 blocks away from a school then you are eligible to be exempt from boarding fees, and/or if you have a concession card. Otherwise if your not these are the fees as follows:
R-T: Monday to Thursday boarding (going home on weekends) is 25II a term
R-T All the time during Term (not going home on weekends) is 45II
Additional fees may occur even for people exempt to participate in activities such as incursions, excursions, and experiences.
