Events

At Benne College, we believe that school is more than just what happens in the classroom. Our rich calendar of events brings students, staff, and families together to celebrate learning, growth, and community spirit across every stage — from our youngest learners to our graduating TAFE students.

Each term, we offer meaningful and memorable events designed to connect our four sub-schools, recognise milestones, and build a sense of belonging for every learner.

• Regular assemblies – weekly in the Little School and Junior School, and monthly ones in the Middle School and Senior School

• K–TAFE sports day – a full-school day of fun, fitness, and friendly competition

• K–TAFE carnival day – a colourful, laughter-filled day of games, stalls, and celebration

• K–4 end of term concert – a showcase of talent and creativity from our youngest learners

• K–11 year 11 farewell – a whole-college send-off celebrating our senior students’ achievements

• Transition events – fully guided transitions between key stages:

  • Kindy → Reception

  • Reception → Year 1

  • Year 4 → Year 5 (into Middle School)

  • Year 8 → Year 9 (into Senior School)

  • Year 10/11 → TAFE pathways

• Discos for Little, Junior & Middle Schools – safe, exciting social nights just for students in each sub-school

• Middle School sleepover – a fun and confidence-building overnight event to connect students in Years 5–8
